Kids Cook Part 2
Max requested to go back to Kids Cook today. On the menu today was a homemade King's Cake in honor of Mardi Gras and Ladybugs on a Stick. The King's Cake was him pulling a raw bisquit apart and making little balls which he then rolled them in cinnamon and sugar. While that was baking, they brough him 4 strawberries and 4 grapes which he skewered all by himself!! They then brought him a cup of mini-chocolate chips which he plugged into the strawberries like ladybug spots. About that time the King's Cake was done so he got to stir up his icing and add the sprinkles. All that was left to do was to chow down and he certainly did.
"P" Week - Pajama Day
Last week was "P" week. Tuesday Max had Pizza, Pineapple, Popcorn, Popsicles and Pretzels! Thursday was Pajama day. He took his new animal "Owlie Owl" for some game they were playing about Pets. I spent the first hour of his day making a zillion pancakes for all those little pajama people! Super fun morning!!!!

Valentine's Day
We had a nice family dinner tonight. Max made me a Valentine card today at Jazzercise and we came home and made daddy one too! I made salmon burgers, scallops, asparagus risotto and some mini-low cal cheesecake. Yummy supper! Max got a legos kit, a Lightning McQueen laptop and Gavin gave him a stuffed Owl from Build A Bear which he promptly named "Owlie Owl".

Valentine's Day Party
Today was Max's Valentine's Day party. He signed his name to all of his valentine's to his teachers and friends. They decorated mailboxes, made a foam frog, played pin the heart on the frog, decorated cupcakes and ate them! We got home and read through all of his Valentine's. He's now about to fall asleep on the couch. It was a busy morning for him.

Kids Cook
Max and I went to Kids Cook today. It's a great little store/kitchen where they teach kids how to properly use utensils, prepare healthy (and not so healthy) snacks and how to clean up. He got to make his own apron, pick out his own cupcake, smear the icing and sprinkle it with goodies. Then, Mrs. Barbara gave him a magic sponge which was totally flat and looked like cardboard until he got to squirt it with water and viola, it's a real sponge! He was excited to clean up his mess even. I bought him his own set of knives (which are completely safe and kid friendly and actually work!) He had a lot of fun doing that today and already asked to go back. At only $7.99 per snack, apron and sponge, it's a bargain!

Birthday Parties Galore
Max was invited to two birthday parties this past weekend for two kids in his class, Ryan and Brynn. Ryan's birthday was at the Austin Children's Museum and was dinosaur themed and Brynn's was at her house and was princess themed. Max has a little girlfriend named Tili who luckily was at both parties. He grabbed her and wouldn't let go. They played together most of the time.
