Thanksgiving Feast
Today Max's class celebrated Thanksgiving with a feast! I tried to get a copy of the feast and post here but apparently I'm not savvy enough so it's listed below this entry. Anyway, they made little costumes, necklaces and hats and made the sweetest hot pad holder with their hand prints on them into a turkey. He is pictured here with Payton and Carter - his two friends at school.

Blue Bell Creamery
Max and I met Todd's sister Lori in Brenham today for an outing. We stopped at the Blue Bell Creamery, took the tour and topped our afternoon off with a cup of ice cream! Max talked about chocolate all through the drive there and all during the tour so of course he had his cup of chocolate ice cream. There were no cameras allowed during the tour so we couldn't take any until we were through but we learned a lot about ice cream. Country Vanilla is still the number 1 seller at Blue Bell and it's the ONLY flavor produced every single day. Today there were making mint chocolate chip and some wonderfully yummy flavor (that I only looked at) that had vanilla, fudge and chocolate peanut butter chips in...oh I was Jonesing for a bite but steered clear and stuck with the no-sugar added chocolate. Still tasty...It was a fun day! Thanks Aunt Lori!!

It's a G-G-G-G-reat day!
You guessed it! Letter of the week is "G". I picked Max up today from school and he was wearing his "Goofy Glasses". He also brought home his glove with the "Gospel Fuzzies". Not sure what that's about yet. It has a song. He broke out into the biggest grin and I got the biggest hug today. He had 6 clips on his chart and was very proud of himself. He's almost passed out on the couch at the moment trying to recover. I think they played extra hard today.

Halloween
To Insanity And Beyond...Max's version of what Buzz Lightyear says. He spent the weekend with my parents. They took him over to my grandmother (his nana) and my aunt Mary or "Pie" to the grandkids. My mom, Pie and Nana put on a rather cool Halloween carnival complete with a cupcake walk and a fishing pond. We spent Halloween evening with my parents, Nana and Todd's parents. We had chili, cornbread and some yummy desserts. We took Max to a few houses in my parents neighborhood on Sunday and then just came on home. Pretty low key for us this year and it was nice. He made it through about 6 houses and he was done. He fell asleep before we got out of my parents neighborhood even.

First Foundations Preschool Fall Festival
Wow what a morning! As one of the room mom's to Max's preschool class, I had to help put on their fall festival this morning. We had a bean bag toss, hay dig for treasures, pumpking decorating, cookie decorating and tatoos! Max and his little friend Payton (her mom is the other room mom) took the liberty of hiding all the little pumpkins in the playground so when it was time to decorate them they kids had to search for them. So much fun watching both Payton and Max (who are the bossiest kids in the class I might add) tell them where to find a pumpkin. The little boy next to Max on the playground is Carter who apparently is his little buddy. And they really do follow each other around. Very fun to watch.
Sadly, we had a meltdown right at class picture time and yes, my lovely little boy flat out REFUSED to be in the group picture to which we ended up in a time out for yelling at me and being ugly. However, he apologized and got right back in the groove just in time for cookies -- but he is the only kid not pictured with his class. :(
When it was time for the cookie decorating, the room smelled of nothing but sugar. The kids had a great time dumping icing, sprinkles, candy corn, chocolate chips all over their cookies. Surprisingly, not one of them started eating any of it until they asked. Huh????? In what world does that normally happen??? Kudos to Mrs. Fionda!
Great time this morning. He's wiped out and so is mommy!
